Trainee wins 2008 Premier's Award


Dr Benjamin Wei, Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Trainee, has been honoured with the 2008 Premier’s Award for health and medical research for his investigation into the link between implants and pneumococcal meningitis, and his recommendations on how to make the implants safer.


Dr Wei conducted his research at the University of Melbourne and the Bionic Ear Institute and was hoping to find a relationship between people with cochlear implants and pneumococcal meningitis. read more >>
